On April 30, Brookfield Elementary students, staff, PTO & School Board members, and District leaders gathered to celebrate the grand reopening of the school’s outdoor classroom space titled The Bobcat Den!
Elmbrook Schools proudly hosted a landmark event on November 21, marking a significant milestone in the field of education and workforce development. The Teacher Apprentice Signing Event celebrated the first-ever cohort of Wisconsin Teacher Apprentices from around the area, including Elmbrook's very own, Matthew Jacobson, the state's pioneering teacher apprentice. The roundtable discussion included school, state and federal officials such as Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, Amy Pechacek (Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Secretary - DWD), David Polk (DWD), Deputy Administrator Megan Baird (US Department of Labor), and Nikki Churchwell (US Department of Education), among others.
Brookfield Elementary School “Significantly Exceeds Expectations” with a score of 93.1, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) who released district and school report cards this week.
Barb Consigny is Elmbrook's 2024 Alumni Excellence Award winner and a member of the original graduating class of Brookfield Central in 1958. She taught at Brookfield Elementary from 1986 to 2004 and we brought her back for a visit.
